The 2021 Texas Record Collectors' Party Broadcast

May 22 - 23 and May 29

Not a political party but an over-the-air record collector's party where collectors from from various parts of Texas meet up and take turns spinning fun and interesting 1920s and 1930s 78 rpms from their respective record collections. This year, due to the pandemic, the meet up occurs virtually so that all participants remain safe and hopefully able to participate in many future broadcasts.

These broadcasts are lots of fun for us to produce and are popular with listeners. They provide an opportunity for us to share background information about the recordings and artists that we aren't normally able to present. Unlike the semi-annual Nauck's Vintage Records broadcasts that feature recordings from a wide variety of eras and genres, the music played on the Record Collectors' Party broadcasts does not venture too far from normal Radio Dismuke fare. But, since each participant's collection is a reflection of their own musical tastes and collecting interests, the result is a great mix of '20s and '30s era artists and popular music styles.

This year's broadcast is about six and a half hours in length and will play in continuous rotation throughout the weekend of May 22 and May 23 and again on Saturday May 29. For information about start times in your time zone, see the broadcast schedule below.

Saturday May 22/ Sunday May 23

The program is approximately six and a half hours in length and will play n continuous rotation throughout both days.

North American Listeners
Program starts at 8:00 AM Central Time on Saturday and will continuously repeat all day Saturday and Sunday. If the current run of the broadcast is still playing Sunday evening when midnight arrives, the broadcast will be allowed to fully complete before Radio Dismuke resumes normal programming for Monday.

International Listeners
Program starts at 13:00 GMT on Saturday and will continue through at least 5:00 GMT Monday morning (which is midnight in the time zone where Radio Dismuke is based). If the current run of the broadcast is still playing when 5:00 GMT arrives, the broadcast will be allowed to fully complete before Radio Dismuke resumes normal programming for Monday.

Saturday May 29.

This is a repeat airing of the previous weekend's program and will play in continuous rotation throughout the day.

North American Listeners
Program starts at 8:00 AM Central Time on Saturday and will continuously repeat all day Saturday. If the current run of the broadcast is still playing Saturday evening when midnight arrives, the broadcast will be allowed to fully complete before Radio Dismuke resumes normal programming for Sunday.

International Listeners
